Audiences in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region and beyond are familiar with the Chœur d'Oratorio.
It has performed many times alongside the Orchestre National de Lyon at the Auditorium, but also in many places in the Auverge Rhône Alpes region, such as the Zénith in St-Etienne, the Radiant in Caluire, the Opéra-Théâtre in Clermont-Ferrand, the Berlioz Festival in La Côte Saint André, amongst others. For over 40 years, this choir has cultivated its much-appreciated qualities: expressiveness, flexibility and richness of sound.
About forty singers, enriched by contact with a wide range of conductors, and dynamically committed to a demanding joint project.
An enthusiastic artistic partner to orchestras, as well as a fervent advocate of the a capella repertoire, the Chœur d'Oratorio de Lyon is developing its versatility around the creative project led by its artistic director Philippe Forget.
Under the direction of its two passionate directors, the COL has acquired a valued expressive palette and a vocal identity capable of promoting all the repertoires it covers.
The Chœur d'Oratorio de Lyon has been fostering artistic exchanges between amateurs and professionals since 1980, and offers a wide range of music throughout the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
